What is usually included, and what isn't
Long-distance prices normally cover loading, transport and unloading of an inventoried shipment. Other items are often add-ons:
| Service | Usually | Your estimate should show |
|---|---|---|
| Loading, transport, unloading | Included | Weight or inventory basis |
| Furniture pads and basic protection | Included | Any exceptions |
| Packing and boxes | Add-on | Packing level and materials |
| Storage | Add-on | Days, location and rate |
| Stairs, long carries, shuttle truck | Add-on where needed | Access charges up front |
| Valuation above the minimum | Add-on | Declared value and deductible |
Read the line items rather than the headline figure. Binding vs non-binding estimates explains how they turn into the final bill.
What we don't do
No local moves, no moves within Illinois, no international moves and no car shipping. If that's what you need, we'd rather tell you now than waste your time.
